FOOD & BEVERAGE OPERATIONS MANAGER

  • ChinaHouse is a very busy lifestyle outlet in george town and a destination. The candidate will be managing 5 outlets which are all very active- 3 restaurant/ cafes, a sipping spirits bar, the canteen with live music supervision of two retail outlets and 1 art gallery
  • This role is not suited to a non F&B related background
  • to follow and be able to train others on sops
  • to be experienced in health & safety requirements in F&B
  • must be cost control focused with keen eye for revenue management
  • must understand high end spirits, wines & fine dining service
  • to be able to focus with the staff on becoming leaders in F&B
  • be able to liase with customers on menus and event requirements
  • lead a team of 60 enthusiastic staff
  • next position could be operations manager or food and beverage manager in one of our hotels

  • Salary RM 6,000 to RM 8,000 depending on experience

Bon Ton group,comprises of hotel & restaurant businesses in langkawi and penang.
Langkawi has two hotels, Bon Ton resort & Temple Tree resort, with 28 keys. Both resorts have won numerous international awards and have been featured in major media publications over the years.The properties are small, niche market with average rate of RM 700, and are personable & exclusive. 60 staff aim to give very personalised service and this has created the spirit within each resort. Each property has a restaurant, the main one being Nam in Bon Ton. Nam restaurant features some of the most interesting food on the island, ranging from local rice platters to western with spice, together with not to be missed home made desserts, cakes and ice creams.

ChinaHouse, penang has 9 outlets over three heritage buildings. 3 restaurant/cafe outlets, a bakery, sipping spirit bar, live music bar, art gallery, retail shop, event space. Its crowded daily from 9am- 1am and has become one of the most happening places in george town since opening in 2011. Highlights being the 60 cakes a day cake table, art on tables, so everyone can draw, plus live music nightly. ChinaHouse runs from beach street to victoria st and is 400ft long.
